Aminchi holds two bachelor of science degrees, one in management information systems that he received at Iowa State University, the other in mathematics, which he received at UT-Arlington.

Experience

Aminchi served as the lead math instructor at a public charter high school in Fort Worth where he taught Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Business Math. He also served as the sports coordinator and basketball coach and was a key member of the technology committee where he was responsible for integrating PLATO Learning software so that the math and science departments could offer individualized student specific instruction.

Family

Aminchi and his lovely wife, Camille, have been married 10 years. Camille is a contract manager with Apexus, a government contracting health care company based in Las Colinas. They are the proud parents to their daughter, Simone (2).

Cara has a bachelor of science degree in education and a master’s degree in special education from Texas Tech University. She has a lifetime provisional certificate for elementary general and generic special education.

Experience

Cara has taught seven years in Texas public schools, including Littlefield ISD, Frenship ISD, and Joshua ISD, where she has served children of various disabilities. She has also planned and implemented new Early Childhood Education programs for Littlefield and Frenship ISD. In addition, Cara has taught seven years at Grace Preparatory Academy and is a parent of two students who attended the school.

Cara's husband, Alan, is co-pastor of Southfield Christian Fellowship in Arlington, and he is employed by Texas Trust Credit Union. Alan and Cara enjoy spending time with their adult children: son, Nelson, and daughter-in-law, Carly; and daughters, Caitlyn and Alyssa.

Heather graduated cum laude from LeTourneau University with a bachelor of arts degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2012.

Heather taught 1st grade computers and assisted in the music department at UME last year. Prior to that, she taught pre-K at Park Row Christian Academy for 5 years. She was a substitute teacher for the Arlington ISD, and Mansfield ISD. Heather completed her student teaching in the Mansfield ISD in the 2nd grade.

Family

Heather has been married for 15 years to her husband Joe. Joe is an IT manager for Santander. They are both active in their church where Joe serves as a deacon, and Heather is busy teaching classes. They are the proud parents of Reagan (10) and Caleb (8). In her spare time, Heather enjoys watching her children play volleyball, baseball, and football.

Joanna graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor of science in education with an emphasis in middle school English. She holds certification for English, language arts, and reading for grades 4-12.

Joanna has taught high school English and English electives for the past five years at Life School in Oak Cliff. At this Title I school, she taught general ed., special ed., AP, and ESL students. She also served as class sponsor, department chair, and dance sponsor. For the past two years, she has helped to create a curriculum for regular and AP English classes, as well as creative writing and research writing, integrating cross-curricula, and best practices.

Joanna has been married to her high school sweetheart for five years and is currently expecting her first child, a little girl, in October. She will also begin teaching ballet at a dance school in Desoto this fall. While not teaching or dancing, Joanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading as much as possible, and re-learning the piano.

Andrea graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies. She holds a Texas Educator Certificate, certifying her in general classroom and ESL supplemental, both for early childhood through sixth grade.

Andrea just graduated in December of 2012 after student teaching during the fall with Lewisville ISD. She spent the spring of 2013 substitute teaching in both Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and Lewisville ISD and was a long-term substitute for a kindergarten class and a first grade class. Throughout college, Andrea completed numerous hours of observation within Bryan and College Station schools and was involved with a reading program called HOSTS, which was dedicated to helping struggling readers.

Andrea is rocking the single adult life, spending free time with her family and friends, hanging out with her brother when he is not at college in Nashville, and cheering on the Texas Rangers and the Aggies (who are considered family).

Krissi received her BA in family psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2002 after staying passionately involved in music, campus leadership, and as an English professor’s assistant. She is certified in all four core subjects for fourth through eighth grade, but has a particular passion for reading and writing.

Since 2005, Krissi has been the Advanced English and Language Arts teacher at Springtown Middle School for seventh and eighth grade. In her years there, not only did she build strong, lifetime-lasting relationships with her students, but she also received the Teacher of the Year award twice – once for her campus and another for her district. In 2009, she published her first book, Phantom Island: Wind. The books were picked up in 2010 and re-released under new titles in 2011; Windchaser and Windfall are now the first two books in the young adult fantasy series, PHANTOM ISLAND. Her third book in the series, Watercrossing, just released in 2012 and will soon be followed by Watermark in 2013.

Krissi married her best friend, Sam Dallas, and they moved to the Fort Worth area in 2003. Sam has been a full-time youth pastor at Reece Prairie Baptist Church with Krissi by his faithful side, and is currently working on his doctorate at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Sam and Krissi formed Fusion Student Ministries in 2003 and have loved working with teenagers and their families. They have enjoyed traveling all over the world together sharing love and compassion with people of all cultures.

Leigh Ann graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies and a certification in early childhood. She also received Reading Recovery training in 2003. Leigh Ann has a Texas Lifetime teaching certificate.

Leigh Ann has over 13 years of teaching experience in Grand Prairie ISD. She started as a first grade teacher and taught in the classroom for four and a half years. First grade and teaching kids to read has always been Leigh Ann’s passion. She received trained as a Reading Recovery specialist and worked as a Literacy Strategist for the last eight years, allowing her to coach teachers and students in grades PreK-5. In addition, Leigh Ann has been part of opening two new campuses, and setting up literacy rooms on four elementary campuses. From 2003-2010 Leigh Ann wrote district curriculum and assessments for first grade ELA. In addition to teaching, Leigh Ann started a Run Club and trained students to complete a 5K. Leigh Ann has also coached Upward Basketball and assisted with coaching Grand Prairie Girls Softball.

Leigh Ann is married to her childhood sweetheart, Corey Eddlemon. Corey is the District General Manager of American Food and Vending in Texas and an active deacon at First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie. Together they have two daughters, Makinley (11) and Morgan (7).

Anthony holds two bachelor degrees, one in business management from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. His other bachelor degree in social work was received from the University of Texas at Arlington. He expects to complete his master of arts degree in Christian education from Dallas Theological Seminary in May 2014. Anthony is certified in First Aid CPR AED, MinistrySafe Child Sexual Abuse Awareness, and Say It Straight. He is a trained career counselor/career information manager, trained Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, and also Love and Logic trained.

Anthony served our country in the United States Navy for 20+ years as a Logistic Officer, where he received numerous military medals and letters of commendation.  He transitioned from his active duty career through the Troops to Teachers program. Anthony served as the Lead Behavior Adjustment Instructor (Special Education) at Webb Middle School in Garland, Texas for five years. He taught English, history, math, reading, science, and social skills. He served as the head 7th grade basketball coach, track coach, and assistant football coach. He also served as the Huddle Coach for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Anthony served as program coordinator for Turn?Around Agenda (formerly Project Turn?Around), a social outreach of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, leading mentorship programs in Dallas ISD, Duncanville ISD, and Cedar Hill ISD. For the past two years, Anthony has been implementing a leadership program in Fort Worth ISD with Ten2One Leadership, Inc.

Anthony and his lovely wife, Tammara, have been married 11 years. Tammara, UME Prep Parent Affairs Committee (PAC) member, is also a student at Dallas Theological Seminary. They are the proud parents to their daughter, Katie (10), a UME Prep student.

Coach Marlar holds a bachelor of science in business administration and physical education from Angelo State University. He also attended TCU for four years on a football scholarship. While at TCU, he set the overall record for single game carries as a running back and attained freshmen all SWC. He is licensed and highly qualified as a math teacher, physical education instructor, and as a special education teacher.

Following graduation from college, Coach Marlar worked in banking and then as an application engineer in the aerospace, automotive, and food industries for over 35 years. He then became certified in math, physical education, and special education and began a teaching career coaching football, basketball, and track at the high school and junior high levels. He coached and taught math in the Mansfield School District.

Family

Coach and his wife, Candice, have been married for for over 40 years. They have one daughter and two grandchildren. Coach Marlar thoroughly enjoys deer hunting, sports (especially football and track), and ministry work.

Celeste graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor of communications degree. She also has a masters of education in counseling from the University of North Texas. Celeste holds teaching certifications for secondary English language arts, speech, and school counseling.

Celeste has five years of experience teaching in public schools. She has taught grades 7-12 in English or speech. She was also a varsity debate coach for one year. Outside of the school system, Celeste worked as a Qualified Mental Health Professional teaching coping and behavior skills to children and adults experiencing symptoms of ADHD, bi-polar disorder, anxiety disorder, and depression. She also has four years of experience teaching parenting classes to adults and teen parents. Celeste served on the board of Rosemont Early Childhood PTA for six years, including one year as president. She has also been a Young Life volunteer mentor for the last two years.

Celeste is married to Josh Pulis, and they have two children: Jack (10) and Juliet (8). She enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

Kaydi graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies from Dallas Baptist University in 2005. Kaydi holds a Texas teaching certification, certified to teach early childhood through fourth grade and ESL early childhood through fourth grade.

Kaydi has taught kindergarten for seven years in Grand Prairie ISD. She taught three years at Houston Elementary, the elementary school she attended from first through fourth grade. She taught the last four years at Hobbs Williams Elementary. Her last two schools were Title I schools with diverse student populations. She has served general ed., special ed., GT, and ESL students. She writes a blog entitled Learning Adventures, which was nominated for the Most Fascinating Blog 2012 award in the kinder teacher category.

Kaydi has been married to her husband, Joshua for 6 years. Joshua is a store manager for Walgreens. They are proud parents to her stepson Justin (10) and their two sons together, Logan (5) and Lucas (2).

Annette received her B. S. degree from U.N.T.  She has a lifetime Texas certification to teach English and history for grades 7-12. She has also done graduate work at T.W.U., U.T.A., and S.M.U., where she received her gifted and talented endorsement.

Annette has over 30 years of experience in education. She taught A.P. and Pre-A.P. English at MacArthur High School in Irving I.S.D., where she also served as grade-level chairman. Active in student organizations, she sponsored senior class activities ranging from being in charge of homecoming activities to producing senior plays. She also co-sponsored the National Honor Society. In addition to teaching responsibilities, she served on the T.E.A. committee in Austin to select test items for the 11th grade TAKS test. Besides being a part of the district's English textbook selection committee for many years, she also was hired by Holt Rinehart publishers to be a consultant for the 9th grade textbook. After leaving the classroom, Annette became a new teacher mentor in the liaison program in Irving. Her duties included supervising and aiding first and second year teachers and presenting workshops on instructional strategies. At the same time, she was a supervisor for an alternative certification program. After her years in public school education, she is proud to have been a part of the inaugural year of UME Prep.

Annette's family has always been her priority. She has two grown daughters, both teachers. She has also been blessed with three loving grandchildren, who call her "Funny Nana."
