At UME Prep, we’re fortunate to have an amazing group of community members serving as our board of directors. The board meets together regularly to discuss issues that affect our school, ranging from budget allocations to school policies and public relations. Working in partnership with our campus leadership, the board is instrumental in helping us implement our school’s vision and values. Learn more about each member of our board by reading the bios below.

Nolan Estes
Dr. Nolan Estes
Board Chairman

Dr. Nolan Estes has a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctor of education degree from Harvard University. He has served as the director of BWP Associates, Inc.’s Nationwide Executive Search Services and has served as the Associate U.S. Commissioner of Education. Dr. Estes is a former Dallas ISD superintendent and has been the director of the nationally recognized Cooperative Superintendency Program at UT-Austin. He is a chairman of Parsons Inc.’s National Advisory K-12 Education Board and holds the title of "UT Endowed Centennial Professor of Public School Administration, Emeritus." Dr. Estes also serves as the director of the International Seminar on Schooling sponsored by the American Association of School Administrators.

Dr. Estes has grandchildren who graduated from Grace Preparatory Academy, a private University-Model School®. His long-standing service and leadership in the public education sector at the local, state, and national level, coupled with his understanding of the University Method of Education, makes him a valuable addition to the UME Prep board.

Charlene Conner
Dr. Charlene Conner
Board Vice-Chairman

Dr. Charlene Conner has a master of business administration degree from Dallas Baptist University and a doctor of business administration from the University of Sarasota. She currently serves as the dean of the College of Business at Dallas Baptist University and is a member of Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington. She has led DBU’s College of Business through a successful re-accreditation process and has served as the president of the SW Region of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. She has launched multiple undergraduate and graduate programs, guided the DBU College of Business’ continuous improvement plan and worked with the administration on DBU’s strategic plan. Dr. Conner is an absolute joy to be around, and she brings a tremendous amount of administrative, human resource, and business experience to the board.

Jaime Andrade
Dr. Jaime Andrade
Board Treasurer

Degrees and Certification: Pastor Andrade received his certificate in theology from the Alpha Institute in Dallas, Texas in 1988. He obtained his master's and doctorate in theology from Vision Christian University in 2001.

Educational Experience: Since 1987, Pastor Andrade has served in ministry in various capacities and has had a passion for teaching people how to apply the Word of God in their everyday lives. For over nineteen years, he served faithfully at Templo de Alabanza – Dallas under the leadership of the Senior Pastor. In a short period of time, he was appointed assistant to the Pastor and was ordained as a minister. He trained leaders, served as a teacher, preached, and was the President of the Board of Elders. In addition, Pastor Andrade is the founding and Senior Pastor of Centro Familiar Cristiano de Dallas (CFC) in Duncanville. In addition to his ministry work, he was a founder, part owner, and employed at a bus line company where he held a CFO position, overseeing all of the local, state, and federal regulations, personnel and bookkeeping report. He worked in administration for a local phone company, serving as CFO.

His Family: Pastor Jaime Andrade is a native of Mexico City. He is one of four siblings born to Juan and Maria Andrade. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1985. He committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and in 2006 fulfilled the call of ministry as a full time Pastor. In 1990, Jaime married Thelma, and they have been happily married ever since. They are proud parents of three children: daughter, Leslie (13) and twins, Bianca (7) and son, Jaime (7).

Jim Brodnick
Jim Brodnick
Board Member

Jim is originally from southwestern Pennsylvania where he spent twenty years in commercial aviation maintenance training and documentation. Prior to that position, he managed a commercial print shop. Jim, his wife Susan, and two daughters, Anna and Abbey, relocated to Grand Prairie in 2006; soon afterwards, they became involved with UME Preparatory Academy. Jim is employed by the defense industry in technical documentation and Human Factors. He has a degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and is a certified Army instructor.

Rusty Grayson
Rusty Grayson
Board Member

Degrees and Certification: Rusty is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY with a bachelor of science (computer science).

Educational Experience: Rusty served in the US Army as a communications officer in various leadership roles in tactical signal, infantry, intelligence, and air defense organizations at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Bliss, TX. He currently manages a global sales program at JDSU, a leading telecommunications test and measurement equipment manufacturer based in Silicon Valley.

His Family: Rusty currently resides in Dallas, where he and his wife Julie currently home-school their three daughters.

Jill Jones
Jill Jones
Board Secretary

Jill graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master of education degree with emphasis in reading, both from Stephen F. Austin University. She served at Grace Prep for six years as an elementary and junior high math teacher and testing coordinator and for another six years as the elementary principal. She also served as an advisor in the formation of the National Association of University-Model Schools®. Jill is a Texas lifetime certified teacher with 12 years of experience in teaching in a private UME school. Jill and her husband, Bobby, reside in Italy, Texas, where Jill currently enjoys being a stay-at-home mom with her son, Zach. Jill’s academic experience with the University Model of Education within private UME schools will be advantageous to UME Prep as it implements the method as a charter school.

Regina Ringel
Regina Pingel
Board Member

Regina has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Sam Houston State University. She served as the office manager at Grace Prep for seven years and as an administrative assistant to the Grace Prep head administrator for five years. She led the way in developing a model family-friendly office that served families tremendously well at the first private UME school, and she will help to shape that same family-friendly environment within UME Prep. Regina is married to her husband, John, and enjoys being a stay-at-home mom to their four children: Kiersten, Abby, Alyssa, and Jonathan. Her knowledge and wisdom of the daily operations of a UME school, as well as her heart for the method, will be a tremendous asset to the board and administration.

Donna Prince
Donna Prince
Board Member

Degrees and Certification: Donna is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a bachelor of arts in business administration. She has the following credentials: NAC (National Administrator Credential), PAC (Professional Child Care Administrator Credential), and CDA (Child Development Consortium). Donna is also a member of the Texas Licensed Child Care Association and the National Child Care Association.

Educational Experience: Donna is currently employed by Childrens Lighthouse as Director of Operations Support. In this role she has helped open numerous locations. She is also a part of a team to write and update annually - company systems, policies and procedures manuals, handbooks, and curriculum. She has also worked with the National Child Care Association and has taught the National Administrator Credential from 2001-2008.

Her Family: Donna currently resides in Arlington with her husband, Zack. They have four children and seven grandchildren. They enjoy going to their grandchildrens' ball games, band concerts, choir concerts, piano recitals, field days, award days, graduations, and even helping with projects as well as driving car pool. Of her family, Donna says, "We are truly blessed."

Stephanie Goble
Dr. Stephanie Goble
Board Member

Dr. Stephanie Goble has a doctorate degree from Regent University in strategic leadership with a major in strategic foresight. She also holds a juris doctorate degree from the Oak Brook College of Law, and is finalizing a master’s degree in change management from HEC Paris (France) and Oxford University (UK). Dr. Goble holds certifications as (1) a strategic Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and (2) a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Dr. Goble was a corporate in-house attorney for 10+ years providing legal direction on a variety of issues, including marketing and business development, compliance, and HR/employment law. She was previously vice chair of the business litigation committee of the American Bar Association.

Stephanie has provided consulting to numerous Fortune 500 clients and several government agencies. Her specialty is strategically working with clients to understand, identify, and execute innovative solutions.
